  1. Classic Donald Davis. Looks dreamy but a load of artistic liberties. The flash of the impact should out-shine the sun. The impactor is embedded WAY too deep compared to the small ammount of ejecta. Where did all the mass go? Also, ejecta blanket is WAY too symmetrical for an off-center impact.

    I did an analysis of another famous Davis’ image some time ago. Had even more serious issues:
